As a web designer I’m always looking for ways to get inspired when working on new projects. Usually this means searching the various web design galleries for some inspirational web designs. However, recently I’ve found inspiration from some quite unusual sources. Take a look at this variety of inspirational work, and you might find that it can help motivate and inspire you on your next project.
The basic point of this post is to show you that you don’t have to rely on the CSS Galleries to inspire you, there is a lot of creative work out there in various other mediums that will help get you in a creative mood.

The web’s been around for quite some time if you really think about it, the first domain name Symbolics.com was registered on 15th March 1985, yes, some 23 Years ago! That means that any idea you have for a domain name today has been through someone else mind up to 23 years before you. Part of any brand these days is a good domain name, and if you have the money to spend on a one word domain then by all means go for it.

We’re finally ready to present our free wordpress theme to you. The theme is called “outdoorsy” and it’s perfect for the individual who wants something “slightly” different from your usual standard free theme. This theme is very unique, and quite graphics heavy, which we are aware of. But if you are after something unique you sometimes have to expect longer load times.
Update: We’ve reduced the file size dramatically! It’s now 1mb lighter

Price is only $49 for a single licence. The theme is something which was set out to be very unique and striking, with a very rough and sketchy feel to it. As part of our work with Wordpress-Designers we’ve been busy creating some premium themes which will soon be due for release. We’ve worked hard to create some very interesting news/magazine style themes, these theme are really popular these days and I think are a great use of Wordpress, they really do allow you to get the most of the power of Wordpress. One of these theme’s we helped to make was NoGoodNews. Playful name but a seriously useful theme with a lot of clean lines and open space, perfect for a news theme.

We’ve been working closely with www.wordpress-designers.com to build up some new and exciting themes for them which will be ready for release in the near future. We soon realised that we needed a more convenient way of displaying the themes and their features, so it was decided that we create a new style for the website, which included us making and designing the homepage and store pages, as well as a blog section.

We’re currently taking some time to get our content written up, and we are working on a few things, such as our own free Icon Set, Wordpress Themes, Tutorials and Articles etc. to keep you busy once we launch. I think we’d rather get a lot of content ready for launch, rather than launching with just one post. Mainly because at least this way you’ll have more than one post to read while you wait.
We are a Web Design & Development company, with our focus being on creating great looking websites with functionality to match, hence the name function. We are soon going to be on the look out for Web Developers / Web Applications people. These people will ideally be in the UK, and hopefully in the West Midlands area. We haven’t yet decided if the person must be local, so we might widen our search at a later date.
